Week #73

Hey Mis!

Sounds like an awesome week! That's cool you might get to study abroad! Italy would be super fun. Davin sounds pretty chill too. So does Brian. I'm glad you're having fun!

We had a pretty interesting week. Troy is doing pretty well! He should be getting baptized next week. He had some weird questions about tithing though. He texted us at like 10:15 one night and was like "I've been thinking about it, and I was wondering.... is tithing tax deductable?" Haha. Kind of a random question, but hey, I hope we answered it well enough.

The two part member families that we've been visiting, the Kershaws and Rails, are doing pretty well. Both Bro. Kershaw and Sis. Rail want to be baptized this year, we're just figuring out when for them. They're really cool families!

We did an exchange this week, I was with a missionary named Elder Bybee. He's been out about 6 months. He's from Utah. He's a good kid, I like him. He worked hard and asked a lot of questions. We had a pretty cool experience. We knocked on a random door, and this old Filipino lady answered the door. Her eyes opened really wide when she saw us. We were prepping for the door to slam, but it whipped open and she quickly ran to her living room. Elder Bybee and I kinda just stood there haha. She told us to come in. We sat down, and started to talk with her. She started to ask us a million questions. Legit questions, not random crap about wives or special underwear. We ended up teaching the whole Restoration on the spot and invited her to be baptized. She accepted! We set up a return appointment, and left. We got back in the car, and we both kinda just sat there. Elder Bybee finally spoke and yelled "WHAT THE FREAK JUST HAPPENED!" It was pretty crazy. Her name was Rose, and a few days later, Ramirez and I went to go see her again.

Unfortunately, she was on her way out, so we had to reschedule. Her boyfriend was with her, some grumpy old dude. He kinda gave us a dirty look, and walked away. It's been tough to meet with her since, probably because of him, but it's cool to see how sometimes we're guided to the right place at the right time!

I hope you have a great week!

Love you Mis!
